Our two-day annual Summit provides a living lab for attendees to listen and practice innovative models to help reclaim ownership of our communities.

Food and craft vendors and exhibitors, live music on the Common 5-9 and downtown at SOTH headquarters Specialty Food and Vermont Beverages Marketplace & sampling plus the finals of the Culinary Competition the River Garden 5-9.
WORLD FAMOUS STROLLING OF THE HEIFERS PARADE
Saturday June 6, 2020 — 10 a.m. sharp
Our signature event, attracting tens of thousands of people. This unique, whimsical, peaceful version of the Running of the Bulls features scores of lovable, well-groomed and decorated heifer calves led by future farmers, along with many cows, oxen, horses, goats, llamas, chickens, floats, tractors, bands, clowns and much more.
SLOW LIVING EXPO
Saturday June 6, 2020 — all day
A festival featuring food, entertainment, animals, demonstrations, cheese village, craft show, forestry exhibit, energy pavilion, music, dancing & family fun. The Expo spotlights and invites vendor participation related to: sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, green building, healthy living, and local and regional food, art, crafts, entertainment and education.

A set of challenging but highly scenic farm-to-farm dirt-road rides with 15-mile, 30-mile and 60-mile routes, providing opportunities for young and old to explore our regional farmlands and woodlands.
