The River Garden will be closed to the public until Vermont's Stay Home Stay Safe orders are lifted. At that time the staff will use the latest information from the Department of Health to determine if we should resume our regular open hours of Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All Brown Bag Lunches and Vendor Expos will be rescheduled when it is safe to do so.

Saturday, June 6, 2020 — 9 a.m.-4 p.m. — Brattleboro Common!

Meet the heifers up close and personal at the Slow Living Expo on the Brattleboro Common and nearby  —acres of fun, food, entertainment and exhibits.

The Expo features local food producers, regional craftspeople, lots of musical talent, continuous shows by the New England Center for Circus Arts, and much more.

At the Expo, be sure to visit:

  • The heifers, who will be gathered in the shade at the east end of the Commons. They’ll be tired and have to go home early, so be sure to stop there first.
  • Delicious food from many specialty vendors
  • Two separate entertainment tents – live music and enteratiners
  • Children’s entertainment offers shows throughout the day
  • Home energy and maintenance vendors -find access to a full range of resources that can save you money, while treating the planet better by saving energy at home!
  • Wellness Vendors— get answers to your health and wellness questions from health and fitness professionals!
  • Crafts  — browse wonderful creations from a wide variety of hand made crafters!
  • Gardening and home decor vendors — spruce up your living space inside and out!
  • Dozens of farms, businesses, non-profit organizations
