General Information About the River Garden
Strolling of the Heifers is headquartered at the Robert H. Gibson River Garden, a beautiful building prominently located at 157 Main Street in the heart of downtown Brattleboro.
The River Garden is a public resource for the Brattleboro region. The space will continue to be available as a public resource for informal uses. We offer free wi-fi to visitors.
The 4500 sq. ft. River Garden has approximatley 2500 square feet available as an event space on a rental basis to community organizations, businesses and individuals.
What the River Garden offers: In a highly-visible crossroads location at High and Main Streets in Brattleboro, the River Garden is suitable for a wide variety of events. We’ve hosted large and small sit-down lunches and dinners, concerts, lectures, gala parties, weddings, conferences, cultural festivals, high school proms, food & beverage tastings and demonstrations, farmers’ markets, craft fairs, news conferences, focus groups, public forums, art exhibits and much more.
The River Garden is fully accessible to all levels of mobility. The rear deck offers a beautiful view of the Connecticut River and Mt. Wantastiquet. Our lower level houses our offices and conference rooms.
The River Garden is easy for area visitors to find, and there’s plenty of nearby parking. Front sidewalk table and signage space is available for events that rely on pulling in walk-by visitors. Available amenities include tables, chairs, gallery wall space.
