SATURDAY, JUNE 8, 2019:

The Strolling of the Heifers Parade   Brattleboro, VT

10 a.m. sharp, up Main Street. The heifers lead the parade, so don’t be late! NO DOGS, PLEASE!

Pre-parade entertainment!

Slow Living Expo

9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Brattleboro Common and Retreat Grounds — NO DOGS, PLEASE!

Cooking with Local Chefs — Home EnergyVillage — Crafts Village — Woodlands Exhibit — Goat Olympics — Healthy Living Village — Entertainment Human Foosball!

Dozens of Food Vendors — Dozens of farms and exhibitors — Bouncing Castles – Amusement Rides and more!!

Ride the MOOver!! 5 stops in a one-way loop throughout the day!  Common- Retreat- Retreat Farm/Grafton Cheese-Cedar Street @ Western Avenue – A Candle in the Night…. Free and Air-conditioned!

Famous Farmers Breakfast

9 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Marina Restaurant (off Putney Road, just north of the West River Bridge in Brattleboro)

Tour de Heifer

Vermont’s most challenging dirt road cycling rides — 15, 30 or 60 miles (plus family-friendly 3-mile Round Mountain hike) Beginning and ending at Lilac Ridge Farm, W. Brattleboro. Register here.

Farm Tour

Guided tours at five area farms — reservations encouraged!

No dogsPLEASE, NO DOGS AT THE PARADE OR EXPO! We’re sure your pooch is wonderfully well behaved. But for the safety of the animals and spectators, please leave your dog at home. The animals may be spooked by dogs, since they are already in an unfamiliar setting. Thank you.

What if it rains?

All Strolling of the Heifers events are rain or shine! The heifers don’t mind the weather, the farmers are working in all kinds of weather, and we will be honoring and celebrating them this weekend, regardless of weather!
