In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to those who are most vulnerable in our community, the River Garden will be closed to the public until April 6th. At that time the staff will use the latest information from the Department of Health to determine if we should resume our regular open hours of Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Cabin Fever Expo, which was scheduled for March 21st is postponed to a date to be determined. The Women's Expo, which was scheduled for May 1 is postponed to a date to be determined. We are also postponing all scheduled Brown Bag Lunch events until further notice. We will post a notification with the new date details as soon as possible.

Love Local February 7 & 8, 2020

You are invited!

Strolling of the Heifers presents Love Local — food, music, art, and celebration of all things local

Friday, February 7 • 4:00 – 8:00pm
Saturday, February 8 • 11:00am – 3:00pm

157 Main Street • Brattleboro, VT

Starting during February’s Gallery Walk, and continuing the following day, the River Garden (157 Main Street, Brattleboro, VT)  will become an inviting open marketplace where folks can sample the sweet and savory specialty foods of local food producers and view the work of local artists and artisans.

If you find an item that warms your heart – or your palate – vendors will also have their products for sale.  Artisans will be showcasing handmade wares and specialty food to local customers; each of which will represent the spirit of the regional community. Love Local will also give neighbours the opportunity to discover the wealth of creativity and craftsmanship in their own backyards.

“This event is always so much fun,” said Vicki Friedman, Strolling of the Heifers’ River Garden Coordinator, “It’s the perfect time of year to get out of the house, meet some friends and shop for inside the warm and sunny River Garden.”

Come to Love Local to be inspired and delighted by items that are crafted and curated by creative entrepreneurs. A wonderful opportunity to learn and find incredible items from local sellers.

The Gallery At The Garden will present paintings by Martha Dolan and photography by Aaron John Bourque.

Here are some local exhibitors who will be there – come show them some love!
