Friday Evening Street Festival & Gallery Walk
Friday evening, June 1 — 5:30-9:00 p.m.
Bring your appetite and your dancing shoes!
Stroll Weekend kicks off with a big downtown block party! The central block of Main Street will be closed to traffic to make room for food and craft vendors, entertainment of all kinds, music and dancing in the street, and fun for all ages.
Stores and restaurants are open as well, and, the festival coincides with Gallery Walk, downtown Brattleboro’s festive monthly first-Friday stroll from gallery to gallery, so gallery venues will be hosting openings of new art exhibits.
Our Main Street Stage will feature Alan Greenleaf & The Doctor. Local entertainers are invited to set up elsewhere or roam the street. And inside our headquarters, the River Garden, our local celebrity food judges will be tasting and choosing the winners of our Great American Bread Recipe Contest. Also at the River Garden, you’ll also find exhibits by the Competition’s sponsors, and our exhibit of Farm Art.
And, for adults only -bring your ID, at the rear of the River Garden, our free tasting of specialty spirits, ciders, mead and beers crafted in Vermont! You may also purchase drinks and closed bottles from the vendors. This tasting featured the following vendors in 2017 ( to be updated for 2018):
- Groennfell Mead
- 14th Star Brewing Company
- Caledonia Spirits, Inc.
- Stonecutter Spirits
- Matt and Harry’s Hard Cider
- Hall Home Place
- Vermont Distillers
