February Gallery at the Garden Presents: Photography by Aaron John Borque and Oil & Multimedia Paintings by Margaret Shipman

Aaron John Bourque – An exhibition of new works by Boston based photographer Aaron John Bourque. Fresh off his recent exhibition at the Vermont Center for Photography titled “Sight Unseen”, Bourque shows off his range of image making through the creative arrangement of the looser and more associative work of the series “Very Little Almost Nothing”.

Margaret Shipman is inspired by the vibrant craziness of the world and magic in everyday life. Her paintings help her to learn how to paint. Every time she sits down at the canvas she learns a little more about color, texture, pattern and how they might work together. Many of her recent paintings are of herbs. Margaret Shipman tries to commit the shapes and looks of various herbs to memory, as well as edible and medicinal properties, by recording them in a painting – and so in her mind.
