Dean Stadel

Dean comes to the Stroll Board with a rich and varied background in academics, fashion industry publications and competitions, business and community ventures, and legal studies with some early activism thrown in for good measure!

Dean is the Founder and President of International Marketing Solutions Inc. in NYC, a marketing and strategic planning consulting firm from 1985 to present. He is also the Director of Media Promotion and USA press relations for Mokuba Corp., Tokyo, since 2000.

His academic ties are primarily with Parsons New School for Design, with professorships in Japan and New York. He is also Current Emeritus and three time awarded member of the Board of Visitors University of Wisconsin, School of Human Ecology.

As a long time (Midwest born) NYC Brooklynite, Dean spent the last 40+ years spending as much time as possible at his home away from home in West Dummerston. Early last year he and his wife, and dog made the permanent full-time move to The Green Mountains. Hoping to pay their dues, and as a result lose identification with the term “flatlanders”.

Dean seeks out every opportunity to explore Vermont’s unique and glorious environment. He is now looking forward to actively expanding his involvement in Vermont’s culture.

“One of my definitive personal goals is to engage in and support community-based initiatives. Most particularly the Strolling of the Heifers and its existing and ever expanding programs. As an active member of the Executive Board I hope to apply my skills, experiences, and resources as determined by the challenges/opportunities at hand.”
