The Alexander Technique: An Interactive Introduction with Tova Malin

Learn how the Alexander Technique can help reduce chronic pain, restore ease of movement and regain poise as we engage in life, from our everyday activities (sitting, standing, walking, lifting) to any other pursuit, such as exercising, gardening, playing a musical instrument, sports, and crafts. The Alexander Technique is gentle and subtle. It’s generally taught in private or small group lessons and often results in a profound improvement in one’s sense of well-being.
The Alexander Technique is offered to students at performing art departments of most major universities in the US and is taught in many countries around the world to people of all walks of life and all ages. In 2008 the British Medical Journal reported the results of a large clinical trial showing that a set of lessons in the Alexander Technique, compared with two other approaches, had a greater significant and lasting effect on patients with chronic and recurrent lower back pain.
