The AD/HD Iceberg (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)

6 February, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

Like an iceberg, 80% of AD/HD symptoms are hidden beneath the surface unseen and unrecognized. Without identification and proper treatment, AD/HD can have serious consequences, including career difficulties, depression, financial problems, conduct disorder, failed relationships, and substance abuse. Many adults with AD/HD were never properly diagnosed as children and grew up struggling with a hidden disability they did not even know they had. Consequently, they developed other problems that masked the underlying AD/HD. Adults with AD/HD can be easily distracted, have difficulty sustaining attention and concentrating, are often impulsive and impatient, may have frequent mood swings and short tempers, can be disorganized and have difficulty planning ahead. They may feel fidgety and restless internally. With Donald Skekel, LADC.
