In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to those who are most vulnerable in our community, the River Garden will be closed to the public until April 6th. At that time the staff will use the latest information from the Department of Health to determine if we should resume our regular open hours of Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Cabin Fever Expo, which was scheduled for March 21st is postponed to a date to be determined. The Women's Expo, which was scheduled for May 1 is postponed to a date to be determined. We are also postponing all scheduled Brown Bag Lunch events until further notice. We will post a notification with the new date details as soon as possible.

Farm-to-table Apprenticeship Program: Food sector employment training

Utilizing the River Garden’s educational kitchen, the program teaches nutrition and culinary skills and provides therapeutic supports to unemployed and underemployed community members, with paid internships leading to full-time, permanent positions.

Windham Grows: Farm and food business accelerator

Entrepreneurs receive resources, industry mentorship, and custom growth plans. In the past three years, Windham Grows created 49 new jobs and over $2 million in outside investment for 50 New England farm and food businesses. This November, we introduced Windham Grows Farmer Business Accelerator earmarked to help Vermont farmers scale up their value-added businesses.

The River Garden: Farm & Food Innovation Hub, Public Event Space and Art Gallery

The River Garden is a welcoming public space which hosts year-round pop-up marketplace events, daily Brown Bag Series presentations, monthly art exhibits,culinary classes, lectures and entertainment.
