Anne is the Strolling of the Heifers General Manager, enthusiastically working with the full range of the Stroll’s work, from the annual parade and festival to the Farm-to-Table Culinary Apprenticeship Program, to the Slow Living Summit, Windham Grows and our River Garden events. Anne is particularly excited about the Stroll’s emphasis in supporting local farm and food-related entrepreneurship and internship programs.
Anne is no stranger to entrepreneurship, in 1986 she started a small imported beer business, owning and selling her own brand throughout the U.S. Working from home, Anne honed her skills in administration, logistics, marketing, sales, brand development and compliance. After 30 years in the importing business sector, she changed course into the local non-profit world with the Stroll, connecting with her roots as a member of a 6-generation Brattleboro family, which started with her great-grandfather’s hand-pulled fruit cart business at the turn of the 20th century.
Anne serves on the Board of Directors for Latchis Arts, a local hub for art, culture and the creative economy in Southern Vermont at the historic Latchis Memorial Building. She is also on the Board of the Brattleboro Outing Club as program director of the Rowing Program since 2008. She says she really enjoys sculling at the beautiful convergence of the Connecticut and West Rivers.
In her role with the Stroll, Anne says, “I love being downtown, and I thrive on making things happen that enrich our community with inclusivity and diversity. I welcome anyone to join me at the River Garden for a Brown Bag Lunch!”
