- Bob Audette's report on the Parade in the Brattleboro Reformer: "After standing in the morning sun watching nearly 100 cows stroll by, thousands of spectators streamed to the town common and to the Retreat campus to partake of cold water and milk, cheese, sausage and onions, funnel cakes, chutney, chocolate, bread, maple-flavored cotton candy and ice cream."
- A story by Jessica Arriens in the Sunday Keene Sentinel, highlighting the Future Chef's pavilion at the Dairy Festival: "Underneath a small white tent, amid the tables and vendors set up north of the parade, were some 4th-graders accomplishing one of the event’s stated goals: 'to educate the public, and especially school children, about the importance of sustainable local agriculture.' They were the Green Team from Green Street School in Brattleboro."

- Susan Smallheer's reportage in the Times-Argus: "It was a celebration of locally-grown and locally-savored food. At the dairy fest the biggest lines were at the cheese tent, where Vermont cheesemakers offered free samples of their creations, whether it was a sharp cheddar from Grafton or Cabot, a smoked Gouda from Londonderry, a maple-smoked mozzarella from Bennington or tangy chevre from Bridport."
