A Tribute to Southern Vermont’s Agricultural Heroes

Dwight Miller, Jr., a seventh generation Vermonter, who owns the largest organic fruit farm in the eastern U.S.
The Strolling of Heifers was founded six years to help preserve the Green Mountain State’s family-owned farms and the community values and agricultural heritage they represent. This year, “Celebrating Our Local Agricultural Legends,” on Friday, June 1st at the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center from 7:30 – 8:30 pm, will pay tribute to a group of local farmers who are the very heart and soul of southern Vermont. Their farms produce the astonishing variety of dairy products, foods and flowers that have helped keep Vermont’s landscape open and green. These rugged individuals and their devotion to agriculture are what make this state so special.
